Bald Cypress
Bald Cypress, or “BC,” is one of the very best species for bonsai, and is sometimes called the King of American Bonsai. No bonsai collection is complete without at least one Bald Cypress.
This specimen is also from our 2021 collecting season. The new shoots are starting to push hard now, and there will be plenty of them. You can train this one as either a flat-top or informal upright (the classic pyramidal style). Your choice, of course!
The base of this tree measures 3.5" 4" above the soil surface, and it's chopped at 28.5". The trunk taper, movement and character are outstanding. Decent buttress (with more below the soil surface).
Ships either in mid-June or fall, depending on how well it roots.
